Weekend Catalina Cruise #1, October  2006--We experienced everything from the thrill of the boat healing and cutting through waves to the calm of barely moving in light, variable wind.  The fog and bright, hot sunshine alternated quickly.  We wore shorts and also snuggled in sleeping bags.  We moored the boat at Hamilton Cove in Avalon, where there are dramatic, Mediterranean-looking condos on the steep hillside, and enjoyed walking around Avalon and hanging out at Descanso Beach.
