Info & Policies

Participants and Times

Programs usually begin at 10:00 AM on the first day of your program and end at approximately 7:00 PM on the last day.  Starting and ending times can be adjusted to suit your schedule if you have a group of 4 or more participants.   If you are more than half an hour late, you may not be able to participate in the program on that day, and we may reschedule you for a future program.

Our Program

Before you participate, we may interview you to see if our programs are appropriate for you and to see what personal, professional, corporate or other goals you are interested in pursuing.  We reserve the right to not offer our programs to you if we believe it would not be appropriate for you.  We can not guarantee our programs will help you achieve or make progress toward your selected goal(s), but we’re pretty sure they will.

Meals

You will be provided with meals, snacks, and various beverages including water.  Drinking alcoholic beverages while operating the boat is not permitted.  We will do our best to accommodate your food and beverage desires.  You agree to help prepare the food and clean-up after meals.

Scheduling and Deposits

Your scheduled program reservation and date(s) are not confirmed until we receive your full payment or a deposit.  If we receive another request to provide a program on your desired date(s), we will contact you, and you have until 5:00 PM on the next business day to pay in order to reserve your date.

Payments

To confirm your date a 50% deposit is due immediately, and the balance is due at least 30 days before your program.

Cancellations and Refunds

There are no refunds for 1-day programs.  If a 1-day program is canceled by us for any reason, including weather, we will reschedule it at a mutually agreeable time.  For 2-day or longer programs, if we receive a written cancellation notice from you at least 30 days before the first day of your program, we will refund all of your money.  After that your money is not refundable.  If after meeting with you we decide the program is not appropriate for you, we will refund any money you’ve paid.

Rescheduling

If we aren’t able to provide your program for any reason or if the Facilitator deems it necessary to curtail the program for safety reasons, we will offer to reschedule your 2-day or longer program for an identical program at a mutually agreeable time if the boat returns to the dock less than halfway through the total number of program hours.  If you do not to participate on the rescheduled program date, we will no longer offer to reschedule you, and you will forfeit your fees. We reserve the right not to reschedule curtailed 1-day programs.  In order for the program to run well, we generally require a minimum of 4 participants.  If fewer than 4 participants are present, we may have to reschedule you or your group.

Your Comfort and Safety

Our Facilitators is the boat's skipper and has total control of the boat's navigation and operation and of the route taken.  You and your group must agree to follow our Facilitators’ instructions at all times.  Parents, faculty or staff members, all of whom must be at least 18-years-old, must accompany participants under 18-years-old.  All children (under 18) must wear an  appropriate-sized PFD (Personal Floatation Device or "life jacket") while on deck (outside) on the boat; PFDs will be supplied.  You must let us know in writing if any participants require special assistance getting on or off or while on board the vessel, so we can take care of their comfort and safety.  Participants who have a medical condition which could put them at risk if immediate medical attention is not available must submit a letter from their doctor approving their participation.  If we think there is a genuine safety risk, we may at any time refuse to allow any participant to participate without refunding their fees.  No animals may board without our prior written consent.  We can at anytime refuse to allow any participant to remain aboard, and we have the right to return participants to the nearest port without refunding fees.

Prohibited Items

You agree not to bring alcoholic beverages, explosives, firearms, illegal substances, or articles of a dangerous or damaging nature aboard the vessel without our prior written approval.  If anybody in your group brings these items, we can confiscate and permanently dispose of them and/or curtail your program without rescheduling it or refunding fees.

Gratuities

Our Facilitators are Independent Contractors and can not accept gratuities.  Your challenges, changes and safety are our reward.
